Studio Series

What is the Studio Series?

Launching in Fall 2025, the new Studio Series is a season of raw, unfiltered, underground, experimental, radically resourceful, stripped down/high impact productions from the University of Utah Department of Theatre. All tickets are sold under a "pay-what-you-can" model, and all profits will be used to fund future Studio Series projects.

Corners Grove

Written by Kaela Mei-Shing Garvin

A reverent nod to Our Town by Thornton Wilder, this play follows a group of young people in the town of Corner’s Grove from high school into adulthood as they deal with leaving home, falling in love, gender identity, and the death of Whitney Houston. It’s a story about growing up and hometowns, friendship and drinking in parking lots.
